I started 3E Fitness because I am passionate about helping women achieve balance in their lives. Starting a fitness regimen is not easy. Shaping Up Your Mind, Body and Spirit.
The three "E"s in 3E Fitness represent the "Elements" of being a balanced woman in today's world. Gaining strength in these three areas will give you more confidence, clarity, energy, peace and happiness.
The first Element is your Mind. That is where your positive changes begin-your determination to do something for yourself that will improve every aspect of your life. The commitment and knowledge that nothing will stand in the way of reaching your goals and you having the body, health, and vitality you desire.
The second Element is your Body. That is where your positive changes are most visible. You will begin to see changes in the way your clothes fit within days. Within weeks, you - and others - will see a leaner, shapelier, tireless body that just gets better every day. You will feel healthier and happier.
The third Element is your Spirit. That's where your positive changes take root deep in your soul. It's what you will feel when you know that your courage to take control of your life has paid off in a strong, graceful, healthy body, and a clear, confident mind. It's the peaceful feeling that comes with living a life of intent-the refined femininity you feel when you know you have a healthy balance. And it is the comfort of knowing you are doing something really wonderful for yourself that will bless everyone else in your life.

I have the training and experience to do so. I have a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) personal training certification, which means I am licensed to work with you in a safe, effective manner that will maximize your gain and minimize your pain.
I have been doing this for most of my life. I started working out and studying nutrition more than 30 years ago and fell in love with the results. I began working with women in the gym over 20 years ago, and found enormous satisfaction in helping them achieve their fitness goals.
I "get" you. I'm 49 years old and I know first hand what distractions life and Father Time can do to a woman's body. I can help you reclaim that fabulous you! That body long lost! That's why I'm absolutely committed to and very passionate about working with women. I love effecting change in their lives in a positive and nurturing way, to renew their focus on what is most important to them- A healthy balance of mind, body and spirit.
Are we a good fit to get fit?
There are a few requirements I have for my clients. No doubt you have a few for someone you are going to trust your health and fitness to. Let's see if we match up.
First, you have to be a woman living within driving range of Kirkland, WA. While I'd love to help every body, I am keeping the "personal" in personal training by limiting it to those women I can actually help individually.
Secondly, this must be something you are willing to work hard for and be committed to.
Thirdly, you and I have to determine if we are a good fit to see if I can help you get fit. We need to match schedules, budgets, goals and philosophies.

Now this may seem like a steep objective for someone my age and condition but I wanted to try. Luckily for me I saw a woman in our gym who I noticed right away. She was very fit, walked with beautiful posture and is a Certified Personal Trainer.
Chris Perkins-Lurie has been my trainer for the past 6 weeks and she told me my objective was not out of reach and, in fact, she would help me achieve it! What a difference she has made in me! Upping my elliptical pace each day to interval training, taking my heart rate well above anything I've every done before, at least 3 times during a 40 minute session, and sustaining it for 5 minutes was a wake-up to me and my body. The weight and balance program she has designed for me has created real results. She is a stickler for form and the correct way of doing things, I am never bored and always challenged. She is supportive, gives positive reinforcement and is so encouraging.
I can see myself in that sleeveless dress.
Changing the way I eat , getting sufficient protein and making certain I eat enough has moved the scale downward by 12 pounds and the inches off, for a total of 7.25. All this, thanks to the guidance of Chris. Most inches are off my waist which is where they need to come off for a healthy body. In my view this is a phenomenal change from a mere 6 weeks ago. I told my husband the other day that I actually have fun at my hour sessions and look forward to new exercises, increasing weights and changes in my program that Chris introduces at each session. I've never felt so good about myself for years. I cannot thank Chris enough for challenging me to totally new levels.

I have been back in Highland Park, Illinois for a couple of weeks. In that time I have seen many people that I have not seen since before I left for Scottsdale in December.
The response has been, “Wow- you look different”. Chris, you and I know that we really worked out! I loved the way we trained. Each session was well thought out so I never got bored. Even the repetitions were fun. Seeing you twice a week really strengthened my core and got me into much better form. I am so much stronger and tighter than I was before I trained with you.
I have not lost my motivation; in fact seeing the results from our sessions has given me more incentive to work out. I plan on working out during the summer so I do not loose any ground. Of course I want you to save my days and time. I will let you know when I will be returning to Scottsdale next winter.

I never knew that going to the gym could actually be fun! In the past I viewed my solo workouts as boring and mundane. Then I signed up to workout with Chris. Now I actually look forward to going to the gym. I look forward to learning how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I look forward to transforming my body.
Chris brings her exceptional listening skills and her positive attitude to every session. She listens and incorporates my feedback into each and every workout. Chris’s passion for training shines through in every step of the process. She listens to your personal objectives and goals and creates a personalized training program to get you there. Chris educates you through the process so you understand the importance of each element and how they tie together for an overall result verses a quick fix. My training sessions with Chris were inspiring but tough and I was very impressed with the results achieved in a short amount of time.
